2022+ Honda Grom Elite-1 Fender Eliminator from TST Industries
The 2022 Honda Grom is something we’ve been spending a lot of time working on and talking about lately, and for good reason. It’s one of the most sought-after bikes to come out this year, and when looking at it in stock form, there’s a lot of room for improvement. The new design and new engine provide an updated platform for riders to customize and tune for their own needs, and we’ve been working on a host of new products to help you do just that.
When getting a new bike in the shop, one of the first things we do is create a fender eliminator kit that enables you to ditch the large stock fender, and we’ve become pretty popular over the years for doing so in creative ways. You’ll hear these kits often referred to as a “tail tidy”, but no matter what you call them, the main point is replacing the stock fender and license plate bracket with something that doesn’t look like an oversized shovel hanging off the back of your bike. Now, we aren’t the only place that makes a tail tidy kit for the Honda Grom, but we firmly believe that we offer the most complete and sophisticated fender eliminator on the market.
The foundation of our Elite-1 Fender Eliminator is what sets our kit apart from the rest, and that foundation is our exclusive Undertail Closeout. It was engineered to perfectly fill the void left on the undertail after removing the stock fender, so it creates a smooth and cohesive undertail. We also color and texture matched the ABS plastic to match the OEM black plastic undertail, ensuring that our part looks like a factory component and blends in with the rest of the undertail, because after all, we don’t want to stand out and be the first thing someone see’s when looking at your Grom.

We offer 3 license plate brackets to choose from, and no matter which one you choose, you’ll receive an Undertail Closeout. If you want to stick with keeping your license plate in a “stock” location, you can pick between our fixed-high mount or our adjustable-high mount. Or, if you want to keep things a little more stealth and sleek, go with our tucked “low-mount” bracket that still keeps your license plate visible while keeping it tucked up against the undertail panel.
Both of our fixed brackets are manufactured from laser-cut stainless steel and have a black powder-coated finish, while our adjustable bracket is CNC machined aluminum with a durable black anodized finish. Each bracket is a proprietary lightweight design that doesn’t add any unnecessary bulk or weight to your Grom. That’s a stark contrast to the bloated and heavy OEM fender. The lightweight properties may not be a selling point if we were talking about a bigger bike, but when it comes to the 125cc Honda Grom, we all know that every ounce matters.

Keep in mind that when ditching the stock fender, you’re also ditching your OEM rear turn signals….but honestly, they shouldn’t be anything that you’re sad to see go. The outdated pumpkin-styled design has been in use for decades and clashes with the modern look of the updated Grom, but don’t worry, we’ve got some solutions for you!
The first solution I’ll mention is also our most popular, which is going with an LED Integrated Tail Light. It has built-in LED turn signals and a unique design, inside and out, that set’s it apart from the OEM tail light. Not only are the turn signals integrated into the brake light housing, but it also has 9 programmable light modes that you can choose from to further customize your light. Going with this turn signal solution further cleans up the tail of your Grom and eliminates the need for any dedicated external signals and the bulk that comes with them.
Next up, if you don’t want to go that route, you can always install any of our LED Pod Turn Signals to your High-Mount license plate bracket using our Mounting Hardware Kit. It’s a minimal way of mounting stud-style turn signals and you can wire them through the undertail bracket. Keep in mind that this is only possible with either the fixed or adjustable high mount brackets. There’s not enough room with the low mount to place the signals, and it’s not a great spot for turn signals anyway.

We know that everybody is different and many riders don’t like running a license plate light, so instead of including it automatically in our Elite-1 Fender Eliminator for your Grom, we’ve chosen to keep it a separate item to eliminate any excess waste from shipping unwanted items. If you want to snag one, our TST Low-Profile LED License Plate Light is an easy-to-install solution that plugs in using Posi-tap connectors, works with all three license plate bracket options, and puts off a ton of light.

Everything from concept and design, production to packaging, we have worked our hardest to create something we can all be proud of and truly improve the way your Grom looks. When it comes time to installing your TST Fender Eliminator, we know that you don’t want to waste a lot of time in your garage when that’s time you could be ripping around on your new Grom. That’s why we have two dedicated installation videos that walk you through the entire process. We have one video for our High-mount brackets and one for our Low-Mount bracket, both of which are located below if you want to check out how easy the installation is. There’s no modification needed to your Grom whatsoever, meaning you don’t have to cut, drill, or dremel any part of your bike. If you ever want to go back to the stock fender for any reason, simply uninstall your TST kit and reinstall the OEM part…although we don’t know why you would ever want to.
