What Exactly Is TST WORX?
If you’re not very familiar with TST Industries, you may only know us for our most popular street parts, like the R3 Integrated Tail Light, or any number of our fender eliminator kits. You wouldn’t be wrong, but that’s only half of the story. There’s another side to TST Industries you may not be aware of; our TST WORX dedicated race program.
WORX isn’t some small side project – no, it has been a fundamental proving ground in developing race-specific parts for our TST Race Team, as well as developing technologies that eventually make it into the hands of our customers. It has also proven, without a shadow of a doubt, that the engineers behind the TST name know exactly what they are doing on the track – just ask the two Moto3 National Championship trophies we have on our wall.
Each part developed by our WORX engineers goes through numerous tests, revisions, more testing, and more revisions before we even think about offering the part to potential customers. We want to ensure that the component is fully optimized and serves the intended purpose of making our riders faster on the track. In fact, our testing is so extensive that many of the parts you see on our website were actually in the design and testing phases for well over a year, spanning across multiple race seasons.
The phrase “race-proven technology” isn’t just catchy marketing talk – it’s a statement about the authenticity of our race program. We can try all we want to simulate the demanding nature of the track without actually laying down rubber on the asphalt, but sometimes there is no substitute for the real thing, so our parts will spend months being swapped in and out of race bikes and being tested on tracks across the country in every demanding situation you can imagine. Once we have positive feedback with measurable results, and oftentimes the associated trophies to match, we are comfortable moving parts into production for retail sale and enabling you to get the same benefits as our TST Race Team riders.
Our WORX program currently specializes in and develops parts for the models in our own paddock, but we often times unleash our WORX engineers on other bikes we don’t specifically race, such as the Honda Grom. Those endeavors often result in performance components that can benefit riders both on and off the track.
We have written extensively about many of our most ambitious component projects, such as the Ninja 400 airbox, Sprockets, and Velocity Stacks, but that is hardly all of it! Our knowledge of building race-winning machines has grown extensively and continues every year, so if you are looking to add some shiny hardware to your trophy case, or just looking to improve your performance at your next track day, our WORX program may be the key to your success.
