Q: Why do I need to put oil on my MWR Air Filter?
A: MWR Air Filter Oil is applied to the MWR material and is responsible for trapping and preventing contaminants from entering your engine. Combined with the foam material, the oil is largely responsible for protecting your engine from airborne dirt and debris. Because of this, it is vital to the health of your motorcycle that you properly maintain the air filter by regularly cleaning and reapplying MWR oil.
Q: Am I supposed to remove the old oil or just reapply the new stuff?
A: You must properly remove the old oil that is full of contaminants before reapplying the MWR oil. It is only recommended that you use MWR Biodegradable Air Filter Cleaner to remove the old oil before applying the new layer of air filter oil.
