We designed our circuit so the LEDs span the entire width of the lens, and provide an even output across the entire lens. The hexagonal dome optical diffuser elements built into the inner surface of the lens make the light look more full across the whole tail light by taking the light from the individual LEDs and spreading it around. On our smoked lens version we use black circuit boards which enables us to use a minimally tinted lens to get the same smoked look as our competitors, but without sacrificing the light output.
