Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Yamaha Halo’s – Truth VS Myth

Well here we are, the end of another riding season is approaching and still no sign of the mythical Yamaha Halo-1 Signals. Are they an actual project coming to life or just a vision slowly fading away? First, let’s take a look at the current Halo-1 Signals available for the Honda CBR600RR.

Designed on the premise of being a true flushmount, these units are designed specifically for the fairings of the bike they are sold for. Sitting completely flush in the signal well of the fairing and laying slightly over the surface of the fairings, these signals have a curved lens that is angled forward and designed with state of the art light dispersing hexagonal dome optical elements to disperse light not only to the sides, but to the front of the bike as well. These units also feature a built-in perimeter running light (halo glow) in a variety of colors and are completely plug-and-play. Add-in some of the brightest LEDs we have to offer and that makes these signals a premier product at a price point that cannot be matched. Below are a few customer reviews found on our website and the forums regarding our Halo-1 Signals.

Now back to our Yamaha Halo’s. To begin, these units will be renamed to the Yamaha Halo-GTR Signals and like with all projects we take on, we strive to be revolutionary and state of the art while bringing the highest quality pieces at a low cost. No cutting corners, no shortcuts. We took the entire idea of our current Halo’s and flipped it on its’ head. Using everything good from the Honda Halo’s, we made these even better and took everything bad and threw it out the window. These signals, in their most basic form, are just a standard LED front flushmount that’s completely plug-and-play and fits in the OEM signal well of your fairing. Upon selecting your bike through our store, you will be presented with two lens color options and a few halo-glow options for these units to create a finished product that is designed specifically for your bike. Below are two renderings of the Halo-GTR in the beginning stages of product development.

Now, what if you don’t want to run the HALO-glow and are purely looking for one of the highest quality, brightest flushmounts around? No problem! When you first get to the ad, pricing will start at around $39.99 for the base flushmount signal. You can then include the HALO light engine in a particular color to build out the signal as you like. We will even offer the ability to purchase extra halo-glow light engines as a stand-alone item so if one day you wish to run white, go for it but if the next you want an amber look, it will take a few short minutes to swap that out and be on your way. These signals will be a game-changer for us in the way of flushmounts and help set the tone for future products we bring on.

Now please note, this blog article is the very first glimpse at our TST Exclusive, Halo-GTR Signals. There will be quite a few updates on this article and even more pictures to come. We are aiming for a true release of early 2017 for the signals compatible with the Yamaha R3. The Yamaha R1, R6, and even the FZ-07 and FZ-09 will get the same treatment and eventually have their own Halo-GTR options. Feel free to visit our product page for these units or shoot us an email to ask any questions you may have.

And now, for the moment we have all been waiting for, PICTURES! These are the very first ACTUAL pictures, not renderings, of our Halo-GTR Signal installed on our 2015 Yamaha YZF-R3. Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below!

    1. Hi Jeff – We are hoping to release the very first Yamaha Halo’s released in late February/early March and at that point, we will begin exploring and fitting these on other Yamaha models. By mid Summer we should have a better idea!

    1. Hi Alfonso! Due to some feedback on riders who have the red Halo-1 Signals on their CBRs, we decided to discontinue the red option as they seemed to be a little problematic.
