Description

The Yamaha 2015+ R1 Tank Ergo Shroud design is a result of much R&D done by the members of MotoAmerica team Yamalube Westby. It is a one-of-a-kind carbon fiber part that mounts onto the tank via hi-bond 3M double sided tape. Seen on most MotoAmerica R1 bikes that earn podium spots, this piece is proven to work and help the rider feel connected to the bike.

"Before Ed from SE Composites (now known as SE Moto) handed me this tank cover I was racking my brain to figure out a design for a similar device because of how I was sliding around on the OEM tank during heavy deceleration and cornering. At that point SE Composites had already solved this issue felt by many riders on the 2015+ R1. Because of their Tank Cover / Shroud I am now planted exactly where I want to be under any condition and have more confidence to go fast and brake late. I don't imagine that my progress on this R1 would have been what it has, had I not installed this gem."
