Description

Body and weight control are essential techniques for both aggressive, performance riding as well as casual touring. By gripping the tank with your legs, you will improve overall control of your body motion, weight position, and posture. This means you enhance your riding experience while simultaneously providing bodywork and gear protection.

TechSpec has quickly become one of the leaders in high quality tank grips and protectors with their theory of achieving a solid grip based on material properties and surface area contact.

Snake Skin is the thickest (.125") tank grip with a low profile diamond pattern. It has a high traction rubber feel and is extremely popular within the racing community and more aggressive street riders. It features excellent wear properties and provides significant grip for your legs. Each ZX6R Snake Skin kit includes 2 tank grips (one per side), 2 frame grips (one per side), as well as a center tank protector.

XL2 is thinner than Snake Skin, coming in at only 0.045". It's a medium durometer rubber skin with a raised dot throughout the surface. It's thin, lightweight, and features a high coefficient of friction, all while being easy on the wallet. Just like the Snake Skin kit, the XL2 includes two tank grips, two frame grips, and a center tank protector - ensuring you have contact points where you need it most!

I bought a set of these for my BMW K1200S and when I bought my ZX6R it was the first item I bought for the bike. They are excellent and last forever. Great traction and no sliding around at all.

I had a set of these on my previous bike that worked perfectly and stayed on for 3 years without any issues/peeling off/nothing, and they stayed perfect until I sold the bike. That bike was stored under a cover outside through midwest summers and winters, and the pads held up perfectly. I ordered this set and 4 of the 5 pads worked flawlessly as well. On of the pads had an issue. The adhesive stuck to the backing and would not stick to the pad itself very well. I used a heat gun and was able to get the backing off and keep the adhesive on the pad. After applying it to the bike however, the pad would not stick well. The adhesive was tacky at best on the pad side. More heat and pressure applied and it stick would not stick.

I reached out to TechSpec directly and they sent out a replacement for me very quickly. While not an ideal situation, I can say the company fixed the issue quickly, and the pads work very well.

The pads work amazingly, they were hassle-free to apply all of them; they’re thick and prevent sliding - just make sure the surface is clean before application so they go on without issues

I love it. Can't stop looking at it every time I get off the bike :) Great product, feels and looks high quality. It is very bright even in bright daylight. Installation was not a problem, also there is a very comprehensive video on it by TST. Highly recommend to every owner of MT09 to buy it, it's well worth the money! Great job guys!
