Description

Removing the stock fender results in an unsightly gap on the stock undertail. You can fill that gap in with an undertail closeout, but the end result isn't seamless or as clean as we would like the 2021-2023 Yamaha MT-09 tail to look. That's why we went back to the drawing board and designed a full undertail that retains the stock geometry while completely eliminating the OEM fender mounting gap for a truly clean and finished appearance. The injection molded polymer alloy construction is color and texture matched to the surrounding Yamaha tail components, making this full undertail look and feel like a stock component that was installed on your MT-09 at the factory. This exclusive TST Full Undertail also features a unique spring-loaded actuating lock cover to ensure that the seat lock remains easily accessible and protected. The simple installation process utilizes all of the stock undertail hardware and can be performed in minutes, that way you don't spend hours in the garage when you could be out riding. You can even follow along with our step-by-step installation video as Bart demonstrates the entire procedure from start to finish. Q: How is this different from the aluminum closeout?
A: This Full Undertail replaces the stock undertail panel completely as opposed to the CNC machined aluminum closeout only fills in stock fender mounting hole on the stock undertail. Both solutions clean up the look of the MT-09 undertail but use different methods to do so and result in a different look.

Q: Do I need to do any cutting or drilling to install the undertail?
A: Not at all. We designed our Full Undertail to install with ease.

Q: Should I lube the actuating lock mechanism ever?
A: If the actuating mechanism ever gets clogged with road grime or dirt, we recommend using WD-40 to clean out the mechanism and ensure smooth movement.

Q: Can I order a license plate bracket?
A: If you need a license plate bracket to remount your rear license plate, check out our TST Elite-1 Fender Eliminator kits. You can select to include this Full Undertail in the Elite-1 kit that you choose.

Q: How long will it take for me to receive this once I order it?

Q: I'm located outside of the United States. Will I have to pay duties on this item?

Awesome product. Fits perfect and the finish and attention to detail is outstanding. Matching the textures to match the bikes panels is such an amazing look and thought. Highly recommend.

Advantages: Fits perfect and plastic texture is exact.
