This ECU reflash was tuned using premium 91-93 octane pump gasoline. 91-93 octane should always be used when operating with this tune.Use of a slip-on exhaust is possible but will limit performance gains.
Description
Kawasaki has placed fairly aggressive restrictions on their Ninja ZX-4RR and ZX-4R by limiting the power capabilities right out of the factory. We don't know the exact purpose, but it's reasonable to assume those restrictions were put in place to meet the strict emissions requirements for on-road use. We don't have any issue with that, but when you're dragging knee at the track and chasing faster lap times, that extra engine potential could be a total game-changer. That's why we immediately put our very own ZX-4RR on the dyno and began testing and tuning. After hours at the dyno and countless laps at the track, our WORX engineers have developed an ECU flash that unlocks massive performance gains. Our Stage 1 Tune is developed for riders with an aftermarket exhaust and either the stock or upgraded air filter, providing optimized fueling and ECU parameters for even better performance and shorter lap times. The Stage 1 Tune was created with the Akrapovic full-system exhaust and MWR Race Air Filter, but can be used with the stock air filter. Other full-system aftermarket exhausts and aftermarket race air filters should provide similar results and do not require a specific Stage 1 tune.
AFTER TUNE: Please be aware that the Check Engine Light will be on and the Riding Mode and KTRC will flash after reinstalling the ECU. All of these will clear after one or two rides of at least 35-45 MPH.
