Building on our Ninja 400’s success in the 2020 ASRA Moto3 National Championship, we applied the same race-proven technology to our in-house Ninja 500 with outstanding results. The WORX Airbox, tailored for the 451cc motor, boosts power and torque by 3-5% across the power curve when compared to our Stage 2 setup. The WORX Airbox completely replaces the stock setup, including the stock air filter and velocity stacks, and replaces them with specifically designed components that take advantage of the improved airflow and further optimize the volumetric efficiency for better engine performance and faster lap times. When paired with our TST WORX Stage 3 ECU Tune, or your own custom tune, the results are instantly noticeable. The high-quality carbon fiber and high-strength polymer construction provide a premium build quality that you won't find anywhere else. Designed and manufactured with uncompromising quality, this Ninja 500 Airbox is unlike anything else on the market.

Ninja 500 ABS Installation

Q: Do I have to do any modification to my bike or airbox?
A: There is a small tab that is attached to the frame that will need to be either bent or removed entirely, depending on your preference. On non-ABS models, this tab is not used for anything and is typically removed by most racers. No modification is required to the stock airbox as this is a complete replacement of the airbox assembly.

Q: Can I use a stock air filter or other aftermarket air filters with this airbox?
A: The air filter that is included with this airbox has been specifically designed to fit within the reshaped design. The stock air filter or any other aftermarket filter that has been designed for the stock airbox will not fit.

Q: How often do I need to clean or replace the air filter?
A: We recommend checking the air filter for visible debris after each race weekend. You can clean and wash the open cell foam filter and re-oil it with your preferred filter oil. If you decide you need a replacement filter, click HERE to order a new one.

Q: If I already have a WORX Tune on my Ninja 500 ECU, can I get the Stage 3 Tune at a discount?
A: Absolutely! We actually offer a free reflash of any previously tuned ECU right HERE. Just pay the $15 shipping and input the original WORX Tune order number and we'll get your ECU reflashed so you can take full advantage of the improved airflow.

Q: How long will it take for me to receive this once I order it?
A: Our handling time is 1-2 business days, and the shipping time varies based on the shipping method selected. To learn more about shipping times, please see the articles in our Terms & Conditions regarding domestic and international shipping here.

Q: I'm located outside of the United States. Will I have to pay duties on this item?

This customer purchased the item at our site.
This whole kit is perfectly engineered. Fitment was on point for every single connection/line-up point. Installing the unit was a really fun learning experience. As a first-time motorcycle owner, it expanded my knowledge of my bike specifically, but motorcycles in general. Bart's video on installing the unit was done really well and provided a lot of the necessary guidance to successfully complete the install. The stage 3 tune was instantly noticeable upon first ride after install. You can feel the power/torque increase and the difference in throttle come-on/decel smoothness. Removing the ECU(if you choose to get the tune) is another challenge if you've never taken a bike apart, but it was super gratifying once complete. There's not a ton of in depth guides that provide step-by-step ECU removal/install(at least that I could find). So take a lot of photos as you go so that you can reassemble properly. Use the service manual if you own it. There was an issue with the shipping company upon return of my ECU. They absolutely manhandled the package, resulting in a small bit of damage to the ECU connector. TST customer service worked with me to remedy the issue and ultimately I'm very happy with the entire experience. Shout out to Nate in customer service for his positive attitude and helpfulness. Sometimes as a consumer, when you have an issue with a purchase, they treat you like you're just a problem. TST empathized with my situation and guided me through solving it. Top-notch people to do business with!

Advantages: Enhanced power, torque, throttle smoothness and fan cooling. Also, a very fun learning experience.

Disadvantages: It takes a lot of time, patience and research to properly take the bike apart and put it back together at that level if you've never worked on a bike. I personally see all of that as an advantage since I enjoy learning and performing mechanical work. Some may see it as a disadvantage.
